What kinds of stuff do you collect? I collect harmonicas, stuffed animals and plastic animal figurines, the fortunes from fortune cookies, and seashells. I have a huge Beany Baby collection in my atic and when I was little I collected erasers.

I collect, or should I say collected, tapes and CD's mostly. I've kind of slowed down on both now. Now I sort of collect good web sites, peoples' IM contacts, lol!!! Um ... I used to collect rocks, shells and other stuff I found at school or outside when I was younger. I also used to collect bouncy balls. Caitlin

I still have a huge collection of mix tapes I made from stuff on the radio when I was in seventh and eighth grade.

I collect my brother's gruesome gargoyles, dragons and assorted Goblins, which are derived from people he's come across while wandering about in Glasgow. Also interesting rocks from climbs I also have lava from Etna and Vesuvius which is incredibly tactile but my prized possession are pieces of K2 and the Eiger, in terms of personal value they are priceless.

Post 9 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Monday, 24-Jan-2005 14:32:56

Nifty, Gob! Lava rocks are awesomeness, I have some too. Caitlin

Post 11 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Monday, 24-Jan-2005 14:41:06

I actually cannot recall where it's from, a friend gave it to me and I don't remember where she got it. It's got the most peculiar feel to it though, and I love how it' so ancient!!! Caitlin

Well since 1995, I've been a collecter of vinyl records, and let me tell ya, my collection is huge, and still growing, and most of them ultimatly make it on to cd, so it preserves the life of these rare lp's, because once they're gone, they're gone, they can't ever be replaced.

I used to collect rocks balls and other things of that sort. I also had a huge hairball (well not so huge) of hairs I got from the barber shop that he cut off but that's sort of been forgotten and stuffed into one of my old baby shoes. I also collect special tissues, and if you're sick like I you can guess why they are special; I don't really collect them, just I'm in a crazy mood so i thought I would mention something totally pointless and weird like specail tissues. Yeah?

I have a rather large collection of keychains, and i used to be very into beanie babies as well. I also collect little porcelain/crystal animals. When i was little, i used to love collections. rocks, shells, pogs (remember those things?)...I have a lot of tapes, too.

Post 17 by krisme (Ancient Zoner) on Sunday, 06-Feb-2005 2:28:43

Aw pogs! Yeah I remember them. They were these little peices of cardboard with pictures on them that you played around with a slammer. Totally pointless, but they were the rage of second grade so I just had to have them. That fad died out in, like, two months or so.

Post 18 by Puggle (I love my life!) on Sunday, 06-Feb-2005 5:16:44

when I was younger I use to collect porsolen dolls, I have about 10, but they're all back at my mum's place, and I think my little sister has claimed them for her own now. I collect masks too, like jesters and things. much more interesting to hang round the house than paintings and pictures.

Post 19 by Big Pawed Bear (letting his paws be his guide.) on Sunday, 06-Feb-2005 6:51:51

two major collections to speak of here. one is letter openers, I collect them, some are ornate and look like they're worth more than they actually are, some are not so ornate, and are worth more than they look. I have a solid silver one, and that's the heaviest in my collection. I also have one that looks like something you'd see King arthour using. *grin* the other collection, well documented on this website, is my collection of soft toy animals. now they are all over the place, on my bed, on my chairs, standing on the floor, everywhere! the only places in my house you will not see soft toy animals is my kitchen, bathroom and main hallway.! Just to give you an example of what I have, I've got a leopard, three otters, and a labradore dog in my study with me. there are plenty more in my bedroom and in my living room.

Post 20 by Twinklestar09 (I've now got the bronze prolific poster award! now going for the silver award!) on Sunday, 06-Feb-2005 11:04:11

I used to collect rocks, shells, and dolls, but that was only for a short time. Now I like collecting coins, articles and books about or involving medical conditions, disability-related news, glossaries of medical terminology, glossaries for words/phrases in diferent languages, and glossaries of slang from different countries. I also have a small collection of stuffed animals and figurines of dogs and Pikachu, anything that feels interesting, such as differently textured fabric and paper and other small nicknacks; I always think I will make something with them, but I never get around to it, but I still like going thru them once in awhile. *smiles* (also, about the figurines, I like the porcelain ones because they are more detailed, and for now I have a small mouse and some fairies, and might get other figurines sometime.)

I don't collect anything but I once collected - names. Names from any country in the world, mostly girls names. I still know a few but I gave it up. It's hard to keep a collection going and growing I think.

Post 29 by Inesle1987 (Account disabled) on Friday, 11-Feb-2005 13:30:12

collecting parfumes is good, I had a friend who did that. I have three now or for. Oh, I forgot to mention that I still collect - stones. Not normal stones but stones that are smoot and feel good in the hand. I like that type of stuff sometimes but I'm not doing it very often.

Post 30 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 12-Feb-2005 14:35:37

Keychains, coins, and old radio shows. Never collected the old radio shows on record, since that was before my time, but have collected them on cassette and now in mp3 format. I also have quite a collection of world war II radio broadcasts. U know, news broadcasts and such. My mp3 collection is now well over a gig for those wwii broadcasts, and have lots of old radio shows in general. Anyone with mp3 radio collections want to swap?
